National Sports Monitor: Offical Rules and Regulations
1. General Rule
The rules, regulations, and guidelines for the National Sports Monitor (herein referred to as NSM) are not biased in any way and they are set up in such a way as to benefit all players equally.

2. General Rule
All plays submitted to NSM must be the exact plays that you submit to your clients. If we find out that you are releasing selections to your clients that are in direct conflict with the plays here at NSM we reserve the right to revoke your membership without notice. The NSM is a true monitor. This is not a contest.

3. Units
Participants will be tracked at NSM based on units only. Each play will represent one unit. All pointspread plays will be graded as risking 1.1 unit to win 1.0 unit. Moneyline plays will also be based on 1.0 unit and will be graded according to the posted moneyline on any given day.

4. Action
Sports Services will be able to submit an unlimited amount of "regular plays" each day as long as the plays submitted are the identical plays that are submitted to each service’s respective clients. PLEASE NOTE that the National Sports Monitor and the Ultimate Handicapping Challenge are completely different and separate sites 100% independent of one another. You MUST REGISTER at both NSM and UHC separately, once again , as they are 2 SEPARATE SITES. NSM is a monitor and UHC is a contest. At the Ultimate Handicapping Challenge Registration Link, after you hit the submit button, our staff will receive an email and then contact you, as well as the NSM Registration.

5. Play requirements
Sports Services will have the option of submitting a maximum of one (1) “Best Bet” per day, per sport. You do not have to select any Best Bets. A "regular play" selection cannot also be submitted as a "best bet". The system wil not allow you to do so. Each play must be either a “regular play” or a “best bet”.
While MOST monitors try to put a limit or cap on the amount of games a handicapper submits per day, week ,or month, we REFUSE to enforce that rule.

In addition, we also cannot enforce a maximum amount of plays per day, week,or month etc as there are cappers that are selective and each handicapper has his own unique style of handicapping. THOSE SITES THAT DO SO ARE A BIT CONFUSED THAT THEY ARE NOT RUNNING A SPORTS MONITOR BUT YET A CONTEST, SUCH AS OUR UHC CHALLENGE WHICH HAS MIN AND MAX UNITS PER WEEK. With that being said, We MUST however enforce ONE rule and ONE rule only which is.

Any handicapper who does not submit at least 5 plays per month per sport will automatically be removed from the PERCENTAGE RANKINGS portion of the NSM website.

The reason they are removed from Percentage is simply due to the fact that when visitors are running ranking queries re % for any particular sport, there may be some handicappers that get off to a 5-0 or 4-1 start and then simply NOT submit another play for the season remaining in first place all season for a particular sport re percentage Rankings. This is why we MUST enforce that simple rule

    1 Handicapper A +5 units 100% 5 - 0
    2 Handicapper B +2.9 units 80% 4 - 1
    3 Handicapper C +19.4 units 58% 92 - 66

6. Moving Pointspreads/Moneylines
Once a play is submitted to NSM, it cannot be changed and/or deleted under any circumstances so please be very careful when making your selections. NSM lines are available every day by 12pm EST. Please be advised that our lines change on a regular basis. You may be temped to jump on a favorite in NFL at -2.5 on Tuesday morning, which is perfectly fine, but remember you are locked into that line. If the line changes a few days later to -1, you are still locked into the line (-2.5) that you received at the time of submission. The system will not allow you to touch that game again as it will appear shaded once you have submitted your entry.

7.Real Time
All plays are selected and graded in Real Time meaning that each sports service is locked into the point spread that he/she submitted and the games will be graded and posted to the site soon after a final score is posted from the real world.

8. Other Timing Issues
All Handicappers plays will be available to the public 10 minutes after the game starts, unless they choose to offer any or all of their plays as a “comp play” FREE to the public. Comp plays are available to the public before the games start at the actual time the handicapper releases them in real time. Games will go off the board for all handicappers at the Las Vegas posted start time of a given event and not when the game actually starts.

9. Password
Each handicapper agrees to take appropriate measures to protect his/her password, It is in the best interest of the member to guard his or her password and account ID from any unauthorized usage. National Sports Monitor will not be held responsible for any unauthorized use of password and should a handicpper lose or feel like there is unauthorized use of his/her password he should contact the site immediately.

10. Listed Pitchers
Major League Baseball lines are LISTED pitchers only. If there is a pitcher change, and the pitcher is different from the one that was listed at the time you submitted your play(s), that particular game is VOID, its a No Play and your units will be refunded. Please also note that if you make a play on a game before the pitcher's name is inserted into the database, you are making a play on the pitcher who is not named yet. We have the pitchers inserted by noon on a daily basis but sometimes the lines come in earlier than noon and are posted with no pitchers next to the corresponding moneylines.

10A.Major League Baseball Rule
Major League Baseball games are official after 5 innings of play, or 4.5 innings if the home team is leading. If a game is subsequently called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning. Then the winner will be determined by the score at the time the game is called.

10B.Baseball Totals
When wagering on total runs, the game must go the regulation 9 innings, or 8.5 innings if the home team is leading, otherwise it will constitute a"No Action" play, and all selections will not count. Selections on total runs will be "NO ACTION" if a pitcher change occurs prior to both listed pitchers throwing at least one pitch

10C.Other No Action Baseball Games
Any Game that is resumed the following day or any day thereafter as a continuation of a previously started game is "NO ACTION" and does not count toward a handicapper's record

Internet/Technology Important Issues
If, for any reason, the Monitor is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of NSM which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the leagues or contests, NSM reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the entrant. NSM assumes no responsibility for any error, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation with transmission, communications, line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or allegation of entries. NSM is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, phone lines, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a participant's computer related to or resulting from participation in this monitor.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OUR WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF OUR MONITOR IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, NSM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW

12. Service Interruptions
In the event that the NSM website may be down, the NSM staff will email each participant if there will be an alternate course of action. Under no circumstances whatsoever is NSM obligated to take any action outside of the NSM website from any participant regardless of the wishes of that individual.

13. Free Picks Each handicapper has the opportunity to submit one or all of his selections as a FREE PICK that is complimentary to the public. The FREE picks are shown on the FREE PICKS page before the games start at the exact moment the service(s) select them. The best part of this feature is that all FREE PICKS are real actual plays that do count as monitored selections.

14. Refund Policy/Disqualifications
Once a service has sent in their entry fee and begins to submit plays to NSM, there are no refunds. In addition, once a service is registered and submitting plays, they are not able to withdraw their service from the NSM site. This is to ensure integrity and credibility within the monitor. Services who are off to a slow start cannot just vanish from the site due to a poor record; they must stick it out for the season and continue to submit plays to NSM just like everyone else, otherwise, everyone with a bad record will want to withdraw from the service. Despite our best efforts to make you aware of our rules, some of you may still, for whatever reason, decide to stop submitting plays. In the event that we are made a aware that you have stopped submitting plays to NSM while you continue to submit plays to your paying subscribers, you will have a DISQUALIFIED next to your name on the profile for all the members and visitors of the site to see. There are ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS for any reason. .

15. Bad Line Entry Errors
Please Note: We are NOT responsible for Bad Lines at NSM. We use the same rules as Vegas and OffShore pertaining to Bad Listed Lines. If by any chance, we post a bad line, we 100% reserve the right to change it back to the correct line, therefore voiding your bet. We will however give you the opportunity to KEEP your bet at the corrected line one it is changed.

16. You must use the NSM website to submit all of your weekly selections.
If for any reason, the software is not functioning or the server is down, please submit all of your plays via e-mail to support@nationalsportsmonitor.com or please call the office at 516-883-4550 and leave your selections on our voice mail. Please ONLY submit games via E-MAIL or phone in the case of a technical emergency. Please note that any service who emails ANY plays after the games have started: those games will ABSOLUTELY NOT COUNT!! Regardless of whether or not you submitted them on time to any other monitor..We must maintain credibility and integrity and we make all plays available to the public right after those games start..The ONLY thing that will make your plays count is a time stamped email or voice mail PRIOR to the start of ANY and ALL games.
